The MedTeam Practice Management System was designed to streamline the activities related to the typical patient encounter including appointment scheduling, electronic claims filing, collection activities and patient information. Anchored by a real-time, graphical interface following patients from check-in, to the exam room and to check-out, providers and staff access real-time data, images and documents whether at one or multiple locations. MedTeam provides practical tools based on “Best Practices” business models that have allowed our clients to achieve superior results with:

  • Coding intelligence and tools that promote clean charge entry practices that support medical necessity
  • Managed care tools that support pre-authorization, referral, co-payment, deductible and other contractual requirements
  • Electronic alert notes, paperless tasking and superior image and document access enhancing provider and staff productivity

MedTeam Practice Management is altogether integrated with the MedTeam EMR producing faster performance and reporting, simplifying software support, eliminating compatibility issues and lowering costs.

Provider productivity is closely related to efficiency and is impacted by a large range of independent variables, not the least of which is their practice management system.  MedTeam Clinic and MedTeam Scheduler put the provider in control of their own productivity by eliminating wasted human resources with:

  • Automated demographic, encounter and consent forms, imaging of patient insurance cards and identification, streamlining patient check-in
  • Real-time display of patient locations in clinic, attending providers and wait times, promoting efficient rooming and more satisfied patients
  • On-screen prompting for collecting patient financial responsibilities at check-in and check-out, closing the costly gap between the front office and business office and preventing unbilled revenue that “walked out the door”
  • Paperless “To Do” lists to coordinate patient scheduling with insurance verification, pre-authorization, referrals and other tasks requisite to the patient visit
  • A paperless rescheduling queue to track no-show patients and causes, capturing revenue that is otherwise “out of sight and out of mind”

All practices face operational issues because of the health system's financial constraints, and MedTeam is designed with precisely those challenges in mind. Our clients tell us that with MedTeam they have decreased personnel costs, transformed operational failures, increased productivity, afforded equipment purchases and practice expansions, and increased morale.

By integrating superior business office protocol and evolving technology to meet industry and regulatory requirements, MedTeam Collector and Payment Post can improve any practice's business health. Practices that cannot assess business office health, identify potential problems as early as possible, and audit and manage payor contracts are at a distinct disadvantage. As health care economics change, MedTeam providers, however, continue to improve their businesses, whether they have centralized or outsourced billing operations, with:

  • Clean, electronic claims supported by integrated coding intelligence such as the Medicare Correct Coding Initiative and Local Carrier Determinations, speeding the payment cycle and maximizing reimbursement
  • Paperless collection queues eliminating office supply waste and encouraging organized collection efforts and tracking
  • Automated reminders and collection letter generation
  • Real-time managed care reimbursement verification during payment post assuring proper payment and staff follow-up
  • Superior imaging of payment-related correspondence eliminating paper handling and copying costs
  • Electronic patient statement submission utilizing the US Postal Service FASTforward system interface containing more than 40 million change-of-address records updated weekly

Is it possible to run an efficient practice, small or large, when managed care gains dominance and inevitable and unwelcome regulatory requirements abound? The answer is yes.  Improve your financial health and have a vision for the future with MedTeam.

Training was a smooth process for us thanks to their friendly and knowledgeable staff. It was scheduled in stages so that we wouldn't become overwhelmed. Our trainer was fun to work with, and we were ready and able to start billing on our goal date.
